agape.

John Brooks Jr. - John has returned from Ireland, bringing with him not only many stories to tell, but a happier, healthier John, which is always a good thing. Programmer, Writer, Seeker. He's taught me a lot about love, and faith. He's also taught me that he looks damn spiffy with chin-length blonde hair shot through with strawberry streaks.

Jesse Cox - Jesse is a sophomore at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, studying course 18, aka Mathematics. Jesse has done my life a world of good, whether it be through encouraging me to audition for musicals or join acapella groups, introducing me to new people, or just reading passages from the Jhereg series to me. Outgoing, intelligent and artistic, he reminds me of that which I once had, and that which I can have again.

Anne Cross - Despite long stints of not seeing one another, Anne is still near and dear to my heart. Wise and deeply caring, Anne is a person with a lot to offer the world.

Nick DeWitt - Every moment with Nick is an event, every laugh a celebration. You can't not have fun with Nick around, whether you're having a clever conversation, plotting something nefarious or dressing him in drag.

Tom Giordano - Despite popular opinion, Tom is a hare, not a cat. I knew this from the moment he played Roger Rabbit in Saturday Morning Massacre. He is also, at varying times, the head of a cycling club, an actor, a twinkie, a pain in the ass, and a friend. If life were a LARP, he would have the Banter special ability card. Sometimes I wonder if he and Don Ross (see below) are related.

Melissa Kaplan - Schoolmate and friend. She indulges in some of my hobbies avidly, like board games, considers others like role-playing through the Camarilla, and boggles at a few, such as Revolutionary Girl Utena.

Naomi Lebowitz - The Evil One, Blessed Be She. She gives 'till it hurts, sometimes in the form of obscure 80s music. What an amazing teacher she must be. Naomi helped support me through a lot of changes in my life, and for that, she has my gratitude.

Ken Peterson - Words fail to describe appropriately. He deeply groks the world, and in return, the world occasionally hugs, and occasionally gives a boot to the head. He is also someone who will never judge what is right for you based on what is right for him. A valuable trait, in this day and age.

Don Ross - Also known as "Uncle Don" or "uDon," he is the LARPer guru extraordinaire. If I had my choice of people to write a game with, he would definitely be in the list of writers, hands down. How he manages to maintain his youth is a mystery to us all. I think he's also involved with NEIL.

Jason Schneiderman - Housemate and close friend. We share a lot: hobbies, some ideals... an ex or two... but still we manage to emerge from it all together. He may be more interested in gaming than I am, which impresses me. He has much NYC lore.

Matthew Volk - My younger brother, and soon-to-be student at Carnegie Mellon University. At least, that's what we're hoping. He's a good little gamer, and an awesome friend.

Tracy F. Walsh - My secondary. (Yes, I know, I don't have a primary.) Tracy works in the Customer Care section of Akamai, but was originally a linguist at the University of Chicago, which makes playing Scrabble with him unfair. He makes up for this by trying to get me out of the house, thinking to purchase me games like Chrono Cross (which occasionally conflicts with getting me out of the house), sharing in my love for Revolutionary Girl Utena, and generally being a Good Boyfriend. He, like many people important to me, shares the quality of being perceptive without being judgemental. He claims not to be a weresquirrel, that this was thrust upon him. However, when I asked him what he was, then, he said that it was though I was telling him to justify himself. And to do that, he would have to count the letters, or do something lame like use different size spaces, because it's hard to line up with the margins correctly. He is, albeit rarely, Herne the Hunter.
