28. Abraham3 Fowler ((Dec.) John2, William1) was born in Guilford, New Haven Co., Connecticut 29 August 1652.(105) Abraham died 30 September 1719 in Guilford, New Haven Co., Connecticut, at age 67.(106)

He married Elizabeth Bartlett 29 August 1677 in Guilford, New Haven Co., Connecticut.(107) Elizabeth was born March, 1653 in Connecticut.(108) She was the daughter of George Bartlett and Mary Cruttenden. Elizabeth died 4 October 1742 in Guilford, New Haven Co., Connecticut, at age 89.(109) The Honorable Abraham Fowler, of Guilford, was a joiner, and nine times represented Guilford in the General Assembly. He served as a sergeant in King Phillip's War, and was given £4 from Connecticut, in October 1678, on account of wounds received by him from the enemy in the country's service. He was an Assistant in the Colony, from 1712 to 1719; and was also one of the Justices of the New Haven County Court, in which position he was distinguished for his firmness and good judgment. His home lot of five acres was on the "Common Green." He was a captain of the militia.
