2. Samuel2 Carty (Jacob1) was born in Maryland 22 May 1836.(127) Samuel died 19 March 1901 probably in Washington Co., Maryland, at age 64.(128) His body was interred Mt. Zion Evangelical Church in Washington County, Maryland. near and north of Cearfoss, MD

He married Louisa Ann Beard 21 March 1859 in Washington County, Maryland.(129) Louisa was born 3 October 1833 in Frederick, Frederick Co., Maryland.(130) She was the daughter of David Beard and Mary Catherine Smith.

Samuel Carty and Louisa Ann Beard had the following child:

• 3 i. Florence Adeline3 Carty was born in Maryland 20 February 1871.(131) Florence died 22 October 1935 in Washington, District of Columbia, at age 64. Her body was interred Ft. Lincoln Cemetery in Bladensburg, Prince Georges Co., Maryland. She married Harry Elmer Riley before 1892 probably in Washington Co., Maryland. Harry was born 26 May 1870 in Fairfield, Adams Co., Pennsylvania.(132) He was the son of Paxton Harbaugh Riley and Harriet Musselman. (See Harry Elmer Riley for the continuation of this line.)
