Some of you may know me as Mr. Manley, but some of my aliases include Ted E. Bear and Man with a on.
Most of the time my friends call me Mark. *lol*
Let's see...I came online in early November 1996, and stumbled across the Chat House a few weeks later.
It didn't take long for me to become a chataholic, although a chat whore is more descriptive. *l*
I was totally out of control in my early days.
Man on a mission would have a been more appropriate handle! *lol*
Chatting was just what the doctor ordered because I was going through a very difficult time in my life.
I could say whatever I wanted to whoever I wanted, and nobody could hurt me because I could hide behind the mask of Mr. Manley.
I soon settled in the Wild West Wing and made it my home.
Shortly after that I came to the realization that there were very real people with very real feelings who I was chatting with.
It wasn't long before I began to develop feelings for some of these people and the more time that I spent with them, the stronger my feelings became.
I have met so many wonderful people online...people who have touched my heart, who have made a difference in my life and those who have found a special place in my heart.
I love each and every one of you and I am very honored to have you as my friends. *s*
Speaking of chatting, I attended my first Chat House party in November of 1997 in Harrisburg PA.
Life is so very short and we rarely take time to smell the roses.
People always seem to be in a hurry rushing here or there, doing this or doing that.
And for what?
Throughout my 40 plus years on this earth, I have learned many a lesson.
Some have been pleasant while others have not.
Good, bad or indifferent, they have all had a hand in making me the person that I am today.
We should all treat our fellow man with kindness and respect, no matter what.
And because life is so short, we should make it the best life possible for everyone.
Treat others as you would have them treat you for there are many lessons to be learned.
Oh yeah, about myself.
As you know, my name is Mark.
I'm 40 years old and single.
I live in the town of Bel Air, Maryland which is about 25 miles north of Baltimore in Harford County where I am employed as a Systems Programmer.
I can't think of a better place to live than right here. *s*
John Cougar Mellencamp must have had Bel Air in mind when he penned "Smalltown."
I am about 5'11 tall, with long dirty blonde hair, a neatly trimmed beard and moustache and I have baby blue eyes.
Some of the things that I enjoy are comedy, sports, NASCAR, (Dale Jarrett being my favorite driver,) baseball ( Baltimore Orioles and Cal Ripken Jr. who is one of my favorites,)
football (the Washington Redskins,)
reading, movies, cooking, camping,
the outdoors,
making new friends and I love 70's Rock & Roll.
HTMLing has provided me with much happiness and my page has won some
awards
and I have joined some
webrings
since I began this labor of love.
