Here is more of my interview with Moxy Fruvous that we could not fit in the article or my editor just thought it could be taken in a bad light (i.e. Jian's wonderful drug references).

Katie - Do you ever get annoyed of each other?

Jian - Dave is a little more subtle, he slips rohypnal, the date rape drug, into your drink at the end of the night for like a sick joke. I think that is something kids just shouldn't do.

Katie - What do you do to prepare for a show?

Jian - A lot of drugs, both recreational and professional drugs, and that's about it. It really depends on the show; for festival show, like this, you want to do hallucinogens. You wan to be tripping when you're on stage. Other times it will just be excessive drinking to get up the desire, or to get down the desire.

Katie - What was you most embarrassing moment while you were on tour?

Jian - Well I'm a big fan of Karen Savoca. So I go up to Karen Savoca and talked to her for like ten minutes and told her how great she was. Then I said, "so your playing tonight?" She was like, "no we already played." I thought, we? I thought that she was playing that night. She said, "no." Then I pointed to the program and said, "It says right here, Karen Savoca at 6:30." Then she said, "I'm not Karen Savoca." It turned out she was Julie from Eddie From Ohio.

Katie - What is your favorite song that Fruvous have personally written?

Jian - It changes all the time. I'd say the song that I wrote that is closest to me would be Fly. My current favorite would be something off Thornhill. It would probably be IF Only You Knew.

Dave - There's one on the new album that I really like, If Only You Knew.

Katie - Why does Moxy Fruvous tend to play at folk festivals when you're not particulary in the folk genre?

Dave - I think because we're just another side of things for the folk festivals. We still have a foot in folk music; we write songs with words. Maybe we are a bit of weirdness for people in light of all the song writers with guitars. I think that's why. We always have a great time and they've obviously worked great for us.
