Buck Valley Grant no. 151 to Henry Hooper for 50 Acres. Surveyed 23 Dec 1668- Map 6 Pat. Liber 12 F 430 gives location as: near the mouth of a Creek that lyeth out of a Bay called Transquaking. This grant was received on an assignment from Phillip Shapleigh. Rent Roll Liber 10 f 359 (aft.1706) show 25 acres in poss. of James Cannon and 25 acres in the possesion of John Willey; these two married the daughters of Robert Pope.(Mowbray, V.1 p.79)
Waterford Grant no. 385 to Timothy McNamara for 80 acres. Surveyed 18 Nov. 1677- Map 6 pat Liber 21 f 160 gives location as southside of Goose Creek that issues out of Fishing Bay...beginning at a marked oak standing near a point near the mouth of said creek. This grant was on assignment from William Marchent. Rent Roll Liber 10 f 399 (aft.1706) shows 40 acres of this tract in the possession of James Courson[sic] (Cannon/Causey?) and 40 acres in the possession of John Willey (Mowbray, V.2 p.26)
Doe Park Grant no. 549 to John Spicer for 50 acres. Surveyed 12 Dec 1681 - Map 4 Patent Liber SD#A f 374 gives location as: west side of Goose Creek beginning at an old marked oak being an old bounded tree of the land called Buck Valley from thence runniing bounded with the sadi land north, northeast 25 perches... This grant was on assignment from Thomas Pattison. Rent Roll Liber 10 f 414 (aft.1706) shows 25 acres in the possession of James Cannon and 25 acres in the possesion of John Willey who married Popes two daughters. (Mowbray, V.2 p.57)
