orman Loughland was the immigrant member of this family, b. c.
1647, whose cattle mark was recorded in Northampton on the Eastern Shore
of Virginia in 1667. Judging by the age of their eldest child, Dorman Loughland
married Mary______ about 1667. In 1673, He purchased part of the original
Kendal from the Poynters.
Shortly before his death Dorman Loughland 511 acres in Jolly's Neck, Accomac County, from General John Custis of Arlington.
In his will, which was probated 28 Feb 1687/8, Dorman Loughland left his Northampton lands to his daughters, and his Accomac lands to his sons.(XV, p.339, Northampton, Co. Va. Wills) Mary Loughland, Dorman's widow married 2nd Charles Wresselland, and 3rd Walter Mannington.

John Loughland, born c. 1675 Northampton County was the second son of Dorman and Mary Loughland. Before 1709, John married Priscilla______in Accomac County, since in that year, they (along with Cornelius Loughland and his wife) sold 333 acres of the land their father and purchased from General Custis. When John Loughland disposed of his lands in Accomac County, his wife Priscilla released her dower. Then on 3 May 1715, we find a warrant of 100 acres "in the forest" granted to John Loflands of Sussex County Delaware.(Liber 1 f.5)
In his will dated 2 Feb. 1732 and probated 8 June 1733 (Book A85, p 54, Liber A. p 285-267), John Loughlen of Sussex County Delaware, mentions his wife Persilla Loughlen and their children:

Priscilla Loughlen had married William Layton prior to the writing of her father's will in 1732. William Layton died in 1745/6, only a few years after the death of her father in 1740. The children of William and Priscilla Loughlen Layton were:
