Saxon, Troy. Troy's Boys Minneapolis, DSI, 1967. A mint copy in color illustrated wraps, 4vo, (27cm), 46 pages. Illustrated with black and white and color plates along with exceedingly bad poetry. One of the pioneering full frontal nude books by DSI that through law suits opened the sluice gates of porn.  Sologub, Fedor Nebo Goluboe [Blue Sky] Estonia, Revel, 1921. Poetry in Russian. 12mo (7 x 4 ½) 85 pages, fine, bound in very good purple patterned silk wrappers, with two small areas of faint waterstaining. Teil, Bernard du (fl. 1641-1661) Svetone des vies des dovze Cesars... Paris, Estienne Loyson, M DC XLI. Complete first edition of this translation of Suetonius Lives of the 12 Caesers with some very nice homoerotic scenes of mayham and lust, especially involving Caligula and a horse.

Collation: Fully engraved separate title page (small loss to lower left hand of engraving neatly repaired with Japan tissue), title page with elaborate woodblock vignette(small loss to lower right hand margin again neatly repaired with Japan tissue), 6 page Epistre with elaborate head woodblock head piece and initial letter (this volume was dedicated to Cardinal Mazarini), 2 page Au Letevr, 6 page Table of Contents, 1 page Extraict du Privilege, 526 pages. Each of the 12 sections is preceded by a full page engraving of each emperor--the bust set within an oval frame and with neatly penned caption. Each section with elaborate head and tail pieces and initial letters. Trimmed to 21.5 by 16cm but with no loss to text. Fine condition with only a few small areas of toning. Bound in 18th century full calf in very good condition with some soiling but rather quite attractive, period marbled end papers.

The only other copy of this edition (with two later ones recorded 1663 and 1669--both 12mos published in Amsterdam) at the University of California lacks the Publication Rights page on which the printing date is twice listed as June 1661 (about three months after Mazarini's death). It would seem the printer reversed the L and X on the title which should have been LXI rather than XLI.

Very good condition with a small piece missing from the back not affecting text and minor stain to right hand front margin, again not affecting address.
