An early Gay poetry magazine that stood "under the karmic auspices of the Maitroya Bodhisattva," the Quill predates the New York based poetry magazine The Mouth of the Dragon. Since it provided an early forum for a wide variety of significant Gay poets such as Bruce Boone, Paul Mariah, James Mitchell, Hunce Voelcker, and Ian Young, the Quill is a very important milestone in the development of openly Gay poetry.

I could feel it
I could feel it

and sink deep down
and sink deep down
into his throat
into his throat
John Giorno

The last issue of the Sebastian Quill said that "because of continuing financial miseries, it is likely that this will be the last issue of our magazine (as it was)." Considering the rather limited number of copies produced and their frail nature, it is very uncommon to come across a complete run of the Quill in any condition. All three items, $1,200.
