Stockmarket Analysis
Has the honor of being the publisher of the only stockmarket advice
newsletter that never made a bad prediction. Unfortunately, plans changed
and no issues were ever produced.
A heavy proponent of applying neural network techniques for market timing.
Currently applies both supervised and unsupervised neural nets for predicting
intermediate market moves. Current advice is to "buy low and sell high".
Pete's "investment" career includes a four year stint as chairman of
the Washington Apple Pi computer market analysis special interest group.
He has lectured on the use of computers in investing and is an occasional
poster to the misc.invest.technical. internet news group.

Current Projects
-
Theater Ballistic Missile Test & Evaluation
-
How do you find out if a theater ballistic missile is performing
the way the designers intended? Current projects in this area include performing
a dynamic stability analysis of a target missile launch platform, investigating
new ways to instrument target missiles to measure miss distance, evaluating
the capabilities of missile/test-range radar and telemetry capabilities,
assessing the capabilities of missile test ranges and modeling the noise
and shock environment associated with launching missiles from a floating
platform.
-
Virtual Reality
-
How do surgeons learn their skills. Currently adapting the technology of
virtual reality to produce an environment which helps medical students
develop experience in specialized surgical techniques. Among the unique
features is the application of the technology to be applied over the Internet.
-
-
Acoustics
-
Recent noise analysis projects include modeling the airborne and underwater
radiated noise signatures of the latest U.S. Navy mine warships. Current
projects include developing the noise control design of the Avondale Industries
Inc. Sealift ship and ARCO oil tanker construction programs.
