Hate to exercise? Disillusioned with the choices? Boy, do you have company, the inventor and author included! I HATE exercise!. But I love activity.
EXERCISE IS THE PENANCE WE MUST ENDURE FOR OUR SEDENTARY, HIGH-TECH LIFESTYLES
It is that simple. A sufficiently active lifestyle, such as certain construction work, farming, tree-pruning/cutting, and the like needs no supplemental exercise.
I personally think a much of the mentality surrounding the very concept of exercise is deranged, resulting in a surrealistic, distorted "solution" to a very simple activity.
Ultimately, the issue of health and exercise is a social and philosophical issue, which is very bad news, considering how our society handles such a cut and dried issues as tobacco, an industry that has the whole USA pleading with it to "please" stop killing hundreds of thousands of people a year. That is like the Jews entreating the Nazis to be a little more tolerant. And along these very lines, I believe that every person in the tobacco industry above middle-management level should be indicted and put on trial for crimes against humanity--and not to mention animals, as scientists stupidly research the obvious, killing millions of experimental animals. And the only change all the current litigation has resulted in is higher cigarrete prices! That is sort of like hiking up the prices of cyanide to the Germans. And there is another parallel to WWII: consistent with our totally spineless policy toward the tobacco industry, the USA was the very last nation to enter WWII!
So just imagine the twisted story you are getting about health and exercise. And it does not seem to bother people that they are spending hundreds after hundreds after hundreds of dollars on mis-represented junk! Again and again and again.
The first step in this chaotic mis-informational state is to finally DEFINE what fitness and health in fact are, because as long as we listen to the media and cultural moguls on this issue, we will be chasing our tails to the point of bankruptcy, while "they" will be laughing to and from the bank.
