The Playwrights Forum is a non-profit organization dedicated to the artistic development of talented playwrights from the Washington D.C. area. We offer a supportive but disciplined environment within which to study the craft and nurture your creative talent and skills.

Within the Playwrights Forum there is a three-tier range of membership options: our permanent selective group, Forum 2, for professional playwrights; Forum 1 - 3-month workshops of small-enrollment groups for apprentice playwrights; and an Associate Membership for those who want a less participatory role in our multifaceted program of activities.
