Dinners Up

Dinners are a social event at the Winter Escape. Instead of eating in our houses with our housemates, folks are encouraged to visit another house and meet other people.

The way it works is that the menus are published (below) and folks sign up for the house they'll eat in.

So, please look the menus, then sign up by emailing winter-escape-registrar@fellowshipx.org with your first and second preferences.

We'll then post who's eating where.


Note about the Young Adult House: The dinner in the YA house will be used to promote YA community, so is open to YAs (18-35) only.


Process Note: Between now and Tuesday around 11pm, everyone has a "hold" on the spot in their own house: we won't give away that spot without being told to. This means that some people's assignment may be delayed.

We're doing this because, even though we encourage people to visit other houses during dinner, we want to avoid forcing people to do that if they'd really prefer the dinner in their own house.

We're releasing this "hold" on Tuesday to keep them from tying up the assignments and to encourage everyone to email in preferences.

Sorry for any confusion this causes. We're giving this a try this year and will re-evaluate for next.

Tastes of the Morocco

I've been studying and working with the spices of the Mediterranean especially Morocco and would like to test out my new recipes at the Winter Escape. This meal will be vegetarian friendly but there will be one meat dish. Moroccan food is healthy and light with rich flavors, think warm exotic spices like Coriander, cumin, paprika and saffron.
