Dental and Oral Disorders

A healthy smile is a bonus at any age. More often than not older people, especially those who wear dentures, feel they no longer need dental checkups. Especially because the idea of preventive dental care dates back only 40 years, many people over age 65 have not grown up with the idea of preventive dental care. These and some even younger generation still resort to a reactive approach to dental care. That is, only after pain or a severe tooth degradation they tend to go to their dentist. Unfortunately at this stage the options available are often limited and expensive. It would, therefore, be important that people of all ages regularly visit their dentist and prevent gradual destruction of their teeth and unnecessary pain and costs.
