1) Mr. Bowen:
Thanks so much. You have obviously put some real effort into this. I'll give you an "A".

Thanks for the pictorial update and report of the August 14 events for the North Boone HS Reunion. Sadly, I was in Belvidere and Boone County the week prior to these events tending to my mom at a nursing facility in Belvidere. The school schedule precluded my stay for that week. Look forward to contacting you for the next meeting.

Washington Monument race:   I was among the group running to the top, but not the winner. I was thinking that the group included , you, Dave Luckett, myself and two more possibly Joel Omen.

I just got back from ten days in New York City with my daughter. We went to demonstrate against the Republicans at their convention. I had hoped to drive out and be at the reunion and had asked to have it a week later but since it did not materialize on the date that I had hoped, I decided to fly out and back. I have not been to a Reunion since we graduated. My daughter went with me. We went all over Manhattan. Yuko-chan spent one night in the Slammer and had many things to say about her experiences. Fortunately, she got a suspended sentence--meaning that there would be no fine if she did not get into trouble again within the next six months. Our hotel was just one block from the convention center. As you may know, I lived three years in New York before I left the states to go to Tokyo to live. I stayed in Tokyo for 14 years.

For a woman raised in the middle of corn fields these hurricanes have been quite an experience. Frances brought more power outages, fewer downed trees and lots more rain. Hopefully Ivan will spare us. Our beach condo is in sad condition. We're on the top floor and the roof was badly damaged. Needless to say our unit suffered lots of water damage.

We are EXPECTING TRIPLETS!!!!   Yes, expecting to be the grandparents of triplets in late December or early January.

Thanks for all your efforts toward keeping our class informed.
