The Research and Inspection (R&I) Division laboratory was located in an old mansion at 140 Boulevard Montparnasse, Paris. This map of Paris was marked by Harry Houck.


Upon reporting for duty at the R&I Division Lab, Armstrong was assigned to head the Airplane Radio Section.
