Disability in the News Invacare Corporation Unveils New Training Programs For Rehab Technology Suppliers and CliniciansELYRIA, Ohio (BUSINESS WIRE) - Invacare Corporation (NASDAQ:IVCR) is introducing a comprehensive new training and education program, entitled "The Action Education Series." This series consists of two programs: "Solutions by Diagnosis" and "Essentials of Seating and Mobility." "Solutions By Diagnosis" consists of four evening seminars that will be held in 18 cities across the country. The programs will focus on CVA/TBI; Spinal Cord Injuries; Geriatrics; and Pediatrics. The two-day "Essentials of Seating and Mobility" seminar is a comprehensive course covering patient evaluation and prescriptions, and will travel to 12 key cities across the United States. Following are the dates and locations:
All classes in both "Solutions By Diagnosis" and "Essentials of Seating and Mobility" offer CEU and NNRTS credits. "These classes will offer a holistic approach to our clients' needs with fully integrated solutions," said Lois Tucker, OTR/L, ATP, who serves as national rehab education manager for Invacare Corporation. Tucker will personally conduct the 12 two-day "Essentials of Seating and Mobility" courses. Invacare's rehab trainers, all of whom are either occupational therapists, physical therapists or rehab engineers, will conduct the "Solutions By Diagnosis" seminars. Tucker has developed the curriculum for all courses. The cost of the four-session evening series, "Solutions By Diagnosis," is $25 per session, or $80 for all four sessions. The cost for the two-day program, "Essentials of Seating and Mobility," is $200.
