Camelot Irish Setters We bought our first Irish Setter in 1973 as a pet for our daughter who was also born in 1973. After a few dog shows, we became hooked and purchased our foundation bitch Shane’s Irish Taradee, CD in March 1975. We have been showing and breeding Irish Setters since 1975. Camelot Irish Setters have been shown in conformation, field, and obedience.
Location of Home and the Camelot Kennel
Our kennel (Camelot) and home are located about 10 miles north of Leesburg, Virginia just outside a town called Lucketts, Virginia.. Leesburg is about 50 miles northwest of Washington, D.C.
Number of Champion Camelot Irish Setters
Since we started our kennel in 1975, we finished 14 of our Irish Setters. All of our Irish Setter Champions have been owner-handled in the conformation show ring.
Number of Irish Setters Generally in the Camelot Kennel
The average number of Irish Setters maintained in our kennel is 10. At the present time we have 12 Irish Setters in our kennel
Number of Irish Setter Litters Bred on Average Annually or Less
Over our twenty years in breeding Irish Setters, we have averaged a litter every 18 months. Our last litter was bred on February 24, 1997.
