The South Jersey
Astronomy Club serves those with an interest in astronomy throughout Cape
May, Salem, Gloucester, Cumberland and Atlantic Counties.
Meetings
The South Jersey
Astronomy Club holds regular meetings on the first Thursday of each month,
beginning at 7:30 p.m., in the 3rd floor conference room at Vineland City
Hall, located at 7th and Woods streets, Vineland, N.J.
Benefits of membership in SJAC include the quarterly SJAC Newsletter and
notification of club events, including member-only activities and sky observing
sessions. New members may receive initial information sheets which include
observing tips and celestial maps.
Activities
SJAC holds regular
public skywatches at Belleplain State Forest, an area approximately fifty
miles from Philadelphia.
SJAC also hosts its annual SOUTH JERSEY STAR PARTY in September at their
ideal dark sky starry observing site at Belleplain State Forest in Cape
May County.
