General Information
BMAA is a group of amateur astronomers working together to improve their own astronomical knowledge and observational skills. They also make themselves and their own instruments available to help promote public interest in astronomy. The society is a varied group of about 75 individuals who share a curiosity about the sky. Some members are scientists or engineers; others are artists or craftspeople, building contractors or college students. Ability levels span the range from novice to expert.
Meetings
Monthly meetings are held usually the first Wednesday of the month at 8:00 p.m. at the Peace Valley Nature Center
Activities
BMAA members organize and participate in a variety of astronomy related programs including: StarParties StarWatches, Astronomy Day, and special educational outreach programs for the public. BMAA also runs the Stella-Della Valley weekend campout in October.

The Stella-Della-Valley October weekend camp-out at Camp Onas in Ottsville, PA provides a good dark sky observing site with many member and non-member telescopes, presentations and seminars, a very good astronomical flea market and swap table, as well as door prizes.
