Asteroid Oppositions

Following is a list of next oppositions (after 1/1/1999) of each minor planet in list A (40 objects). There is
an additional list of opposition data for objects having unusually bright oppositions during 1999, including
a high-numbered object (1166 Sakuntala). My past observations of this object indicated that the "official"
magnitude estimates of this object may be erroneous. See if you can confirm or deny this. All of the
objects listed have opposition magnitudes of 11.6 or better, and therefore they should all be relatively
easy objects in a 6-inch or larger telescope (or 4-inch from a dark-sky site). About 30% of the objects
are brighter than magnitude 10.0, and therefore should be quite easy.
