"Astronomy for Women", the nine page introduction
of this American English edition reviews the
contributions of many 18th and 19th century female contributors to astronomy.
(Comment: Because I have observed that several resources have made the mistake as to
the author's gender, it should be noted that Camille Flammarion was male).
