Northeast Regional Folk Alliance - 1999
The Northeast Regional Folk Alliance is a professional conference held in beautiful Lake Harmony, Pa. Not that we enjoyed the beauty of the Poconos:
From check-in to checkout, we listened to the finest folk musicians of the northeastern United States, plus many more from throughout the United States and Canada.
This year, in addition to listening, we also helped produce music, hosting three showcases in our hotel room featuring
Jerry Bresee, Bill Parsons, Andrew McKnight, Mary Sue Twohy, Hot Soup!, Bugleweed, Doug Alan Wilcox and Nancy Magill. To promote the venture,
we produced and distributed a 16-song sampler CD, and passed out buttons and flyers. It was a blast. And the jams drew dozens of cool folks, including Darryl Purpose,
Eric Schwartz, Joe Giacoio, Monty Delaney, Dave Nachmanoff, Mike Agranoff, Ben Murray and Siobhan Quinn, and Julia Alstatt.
