Art Stebelton in a UH-1H loaded with parachute flares for 'night hunting' missions. Art was infused into B Troop 3/17th from B Troop 7/1 Cav in 1968. The purpose of the in and out 'infusion' of personnel was to prevent all the members of a unit from DEROSing at the same time, a year later. Unfortunately, this broke up some strong bonds between members of the same unit that trained together Stateside. Art joined our B Troop at Tay Ninh, moved to DiAn and later down to the Delta at Dong Tam. |
