I like humans. I really do. Life would be much less interesting without them in the world. Add to that the fact that those beings that want to destroy humanity also have ME in their crosshairs and you understand why I've been making some unusual alliances lately. Those of us who want the Earth to keep existing have to stick together, especially now. For some reason, the Major Players aren't as involved in Sunnydale as you might expect. Probably because it doesn't have a history of millions of years of bloody sacrifices. But there's POWER here. Vast amounts of power, just waiting to be channelled. And there's something else that draws me here. Or rather, someone else. Not Buffy, even though she is surely a prize worth winning. It's her best friend Willow. Her power is so intense. I can feel it even when I'm on the other side of the planet. And she hasn't even come close to reaching her true potential. She can do it, with my guidance, with my aid. I've started trying to influence her even though I can't do anything openly right now. She isn't ready to accept me, not yet. But soon she will see her true destiny. My Queen of Air and Darkness, reigning over Sunnydale, by my side. My new allies will probably disagree, but this will ultimately be best for everyone. The universe is a cruel, uncaring place. There are THINGS out there, creatures horrible beyond the nightmares of most humans. Their time is coming, unless WE can stop it somehow. We dare not go into this battle with one of our best weapons still leashed.
