Biography of Muriel J. Yilmaz, M.A. President of Mentor, Inc.

An accomplished and respected career consultant in the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area. She is a facilitator, a motivator, and inspirational speaker and counselor. She promotes job/life wellness through the identification of career and life visions, the manifestation of clear intent, and the development of full potential.

Ms. Yilmaz's philosophy and methodology is one of exploration, awareness raising, self discovery, and the enhancement of ability to make appropriate career and life choices. She intuitively supports her clients in the preparation of their career and life plan, the taking of personal responsibility, and the implementation of their job/life strategy; she promotes the building of self esteem and self worth, the development of empowerment and control, and the initiation of actions that enable the realization of dreams. She plays the role of success coach, counselor, advisor, and mentor.

Ms. Yilmaz works with individual clients and directly with corporations and government agencies (including educational institutions, not-for-profits, healthcare, technology, and professional services companies) in support of employee career development and transition, and change management/team building training programs. Her clients include GE Information Services, Intelsat, British Aerospace, National Hospital Medical Center and the Washington Hospital Center, Mitel, Inc., MedSurg Isolyser, The American University, Learning Tree International, Pulse Communications, General Research Corporation International, Inc., Global Management Systems, Inc., and many others. Ms. Yilmaz presents to the Office of Personnel Management, Central Intelligence Agency, U.S. State Department, and Naval Surface Warfare Career Transition Centers and to Virginia and Maryland State Employment Services' clients.

Ms. Yilmaz possesses a Master's Degree in spiritual based Applied Psychology from the University of Santa Monica, and a Bachelor's Degree in Cultural Anthropology from California State University, Northridge.
