Dear Admiral Galantin,
The USS Halibut SS(G)N/SSN 587 Year 2000 Reunion was a great success. I want to thank you again for your help in making it so. Admiral Larson and Captain Moore, both former Commanding Officers who were in attendance, were impressed with our autograph page, and mentioned that you were known to them when they attended the Academy.
I have enclosed our reunion program and an additional pamphlet "USS Halibut A Story of Three Ships" which were distributed to all hands present and will be put up on the USS Halibut internet page. I thought that you would be interested to know how much we revere the memory of the 232 Boat and that we have emphasized the link between these two submarines which served The Republic so well.
