namky.jpg (13230 bytes) inh Nguyen is a third-generation photographer. In Hanoi 1930s, his grandfather learned large-format photography from the French and operated a successful photo studio. In the center of the right photo, his grandfather held his father in front of the studio. His uncle ran the studio until 1954 when all family members fled south to escape communism.


linh.jpg (15434 bytes)In Saigon 1979, inspired by the Leonardo da Vinci's lifestory, Linh quit high school at 12 to study art the old masters' way through apprenticeship at Thanh Tan art studio shown in right photo. Linh often painted 8 hours a day for many years here in this studio. His specialty is oil silk portrait painting. After two weeks of his arrival to the U.S.A. in 1981, he received his first portrait commission. The studio was then opened for business in America starting from a small bedroom that he shared with his two younger brothers.


capital.gif (60585 bytes)Linh was featured on the front cover of The Capital paper (Annapolis, MD). His work was recently featured on the front cover of DCityMag  (Georgetown, DC), theKnot.com's Weddingpages, and Town & Country magazine.

In addition to his classical art training, Linh also received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Maryland. Over the years, many discerning clients seek out his service because his work can stir emotions in them. These emotions are more meaningful to his clients than anything else.
