The Clan of Elemental and Divine Magic

One of the two magical clans. The Druid Lords believe that magical energy is derived from nature, and that meditation, ritual, and sacrifice is the proper way to harness it. The Circle of Magi, on the other hand, draw their magics from arcane sources mediated through "knowledge". They fail to appreciate, however, that magic surrounds us, and binds all living things. The Druids focus on the natural world to harness the intrinsic power of the elements.

"Wisest is he, who knows that he indeed knows nothing".

The Druids' Circle differ from the Circle of Magi on that basic premise. The Druids look to wisdom, the magi to intelligence. The Druids look to nature for inspiration, the magi look to themselves for enlightenment. The difference is not manifested in an outright hatred, but often a mutual distrust and disquiet. Both the Circle of Magi and the Druids Circle are above outright warfare, preferring to go about their work and beliefs in the mysterious solitude of their inner sanctums, honing their magics to prophesy and convert. Unlike other clans, the Circle of Magi and the Druids Circle are allies in form, and enemies only in substance. The eternal mystery of which is profoundly incomprehensible to the fool.
