| Directions: | From 695(Baltimore Beltway) take Exit 30 South
(Perring Parkway) to the first light, turn left at
light. Go two blocks and turn right into the Post
183 parking lot. The entrance to the Main Hall is
at the front of the building. Entrance to the Blue
and Gold Room is at the rear of the building, on
the southeast side, through the single door marked
"Blue and Gold Room", adjacent to the Post
Lounge entrance. |
| Membership: | 2,800 American Legion members. (As of
05/01/09) The Fourth Largest Post in the Country. |
| Post Meetings: | Effective in August, Post 183 meetings will be
held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. The
Meetings begin at 7:30 P.M. and they vary in
duration. After the meeting, a light meal and
beverages are provided. |
| Post Lounge: | NOTICE: POST FAMILY MEMBERS AND
THEIR GUESTS ONLY!
Our full service bar and lounge has a seating
capacity for 156 with separate kitchen facilities.
Live music is provided on Friday and Saturday
evenings. Open every day with full dinners served
Friday and Saturday evenings. |
| Special Dinners: | NOTICE: OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!
"Chicken Night" will be held on the 3rd
Wednesday of the month and "Spaghetti Night" on
the 2nd Thursday of the month. They are held from
5:00 - 6:30 P.M. during the months of September
through May, except November and December
(due to the Holidays). |
| Monthly Dances: | NOTICE: POST FAMILY MEMBERS AND
THEIR GUESTS ONLY!
End of the Month dances are held in our Large
hall. Full bar included in the price of the tickets. It
is recommended that the tickets are purchased in
advance. Some of the end of the month dances are
theme dances. Some Examples: Sweethearts
Dance in February, St. Patrick's Dance in March,
and Luau in July, etc. |
| Special Groups: | Post 183 has an array of Special Interest Groups
for members participation. The Following is a list
of some of the Special Interest Groups available to
our members:

| Post Carnival: | Every year, Post 183 sponsors a carnival at our
premises. |
