Bob SPENCER, Commander
Hello Fellow SAL Members, I hope this finds you and your families well. If you do have any illness or need prayers of any kind, please contact our Chaplain, Glen Michaels.
What a year it has been for the SAL, it is hard to believe that elections are May 6th. Like all elections, it is important for you to vote so be sure to attend our meeting that night and to cast your vote for next Year's Officers.
Our Fall Fundraiser on October 18th will be a Bull and Oyster Roast with lots of food, music by Cumberland Road, prizes, auctions and wheels. Tickets are $30 per person or $250 for a table of 10 prepaid. This is our largest fundraiser of the year and we need your support. For more information and tickets, call Fran Cullen. More details will be in the July/August Patter Parade.
Speaking of the Patter Parade, if you would like to receive it via email, contact Jerry Coleman at www.alpost183md@comcast.net. You will receive it on a more timely basis and it will save the Post money.
As a reminder, anyone who has done any volunteering; i.e., church, scouts, veterans, seniors, etc., should report their hours to me at rjstravel@aol.com by May 15th , so we can include them in our Consolidated Reports.
We are just shy of our Membership goal for the year so I am once again imploring all members to encourage any qualified sons to apply. Also, if you are aware of any member of the Post who qualifies as a member of the Sons encourage him to become a dual member.
Also, on Father's Day June 15th, we will be at the BRECC. We are in need of volunteers which can include any Youth who are in need of Community Service hours. July 16th is the Conquerors Banquet at the Post and volunteers are needed for that also, and again Youth are invited.
As always, may God Bless our Post, our troops, America and you.
