Our Americanism program is very active. We have visited the local schools
in our area and have promoted the Pledge of Allegiance and our Flag
Program. The elementary schools have received TV tapes, teacher's guides,
and student activity sheets to have them better understand Patriotism and
Flag Awareness.
We have purchased flags for several of our local schools. Additionally, we
have performed a Flag Program at one school and many more are scheduled.
The Post also has a Committee that puts an "Avenue of Flags" along the
south side of Putty Hill Avenue on all Federal Holidays.
Our Sons of the American Legion Squadron conducts a Flag Disposal
Program for the Post every year in the Spring.
