MEANING OF LIFE
What is the meaning of
life?
For what purpose are we
here?
Which possessions do we hold
so dear?
What makes the world go
round?
Can you see it
spinning?
Turning ever so
slowly;
Are we winning?
Is time really moving too
fast?
Can we make our efforts
last?
Spinning, Spinning,
Spinning;
Are we really winning?
CHILDREN
Look at all the little
children,
Running about.
They will all grow to
adulthood;
Of that, I have no
doubt.
Children, run and have
fun;
When you grow up,
There is so little
sun.
Enjoy life while you
can,
Before you jump into that
frying pan.
Explore the world and all the
joys;
Run, while you can, my
precious boys.
DISAPPEARING
RAINBOW
Who has found the
rainbow?
Certainly not me;
When I follow it to the
end,
It disappears into the
sea.
Who has found the
rainbow?
Certainly not you;
All the world is using
tunnel-vision,
Searching for that dream so
new.
Who has found the
rainbow?
No one ever will;
If one looked beyond his
narrow mind,
He would find it on his
window sill.
LAST CYCLE OF
LIFE
He has gone,
Left this world for
another.
I shall miss him, I
fear
Although he has gone,
He lives in my heart.
I have all those lovely
memories,
So we shall never really
part.
Death is merely a cycle of
living;
The last step in life.
We must all meet it
eventually;
It will erase all our
strife.
DELICATE
CREATURES
Birds are such delicate
creatures;
Look at those tiny
features.
Yet they seem so
strong;
Flying in the wind so
long.
Not letting the cold
winter,
chase them away.
Beware, snow and
sleet,
We're here to stay.
Birds, we'll feed you in this
cold,
Because we admire you, you're
so bold
Then when Spring comes
around,
We'll still hear that lovely
sound.
Those beautiful songs you
chirp so glad;
Cheering us when we're
sad.
Thank you, little birds so
small.
"We admire your courage", we
call.
SLOW DOWN
Time is running,
Running so fast!
Slow down,
Let's make the moments
last.
People are rushing,
Rushing on the
freeway.
Slow down,
Try a slower pace--enjoy the
day!
Waves are crashing,
Crashing on the shore.
Slow down,
Don't swallow our land
anymore.
The world is hurling,
Hurling through space.
Slow down!,
What's happened to the human
race!
THE LONELY TREE
Where's my family?
Said the little tree all
alone,
Bulldozers and men took them,
now, they're all gone,.
They chopped down the
forest
That provided the
shade;
Products, they said, needed
to be made.
They forgot about the oxygen
we make,
And the soil erosion we
prevent,
Bent on making money...
that's not heaven sent!
The land will turn to
dust,
Then they'll remember
us.
They have to!...... They
must!
