	Every saga has a beginning...   And, for all Cainites, the story of that fateful night when they (willing or not) were taken across the threshold of mortal life into the eternal night of undeath, is of key importance to their characters – although they themselves may only know the half of it. Spanning from 9th-century Transylvania through 14th-century Avignon, here are the beginnings for the major players in our chronicle – their own personal Preludes to Eternity.
	The wit and wisdom expressed by the characters in this Chronicle may or may not be representative of the twisted imaginations of their creators. Also includes IC writings on the World of Darkness.
	Milan, 1490 – Etienne de Vaillant, Apprentice of House and Clan Tremere, is sent to Milan to investigate the mysterious and sudden disappearance of that Chantry's Regent and Apprentice, but finds himself a pawn in a much larger and darker game indeed – as he seeks out the truth behind The Dragon's Masque.
	Milan, 1526 – Lasombra, Tzimisce, rebellious Assamites, anarchs of all clans, and the odd Camarilla spy gather in Milan to negotiate their own answer to the Camarilla's tyranny – an Alliance of Shadows that the future Sabbat will some night claim as its genesis.
	Transylvania, 12th century – Embraced against his will, bound by blood, and trapped between his own honor and the passions of his Zantosa heritage, Jovan Ruthven fights to prove himself worthy of independence from his sadistic Sire... but the price he pays for his freedom may be higher than he ever imagined.    Coming Soon!
