Rockville Go and Chess Group
An assortment of board and card games are played every Friday night from 7 to 10 pm at the Montgomery College Rockville Campus in the Campus Center Cafeteria. We had been located in the City of Rockville PUMP HOUSE Community Center, 401 South Horner Lane, but that building is under renovation until the Spring of 2010. Until then, MC is our meeting site. Our games include Go, Chess, Ticket to Ride, Dominion, San Juan, Blokus, Carcassonne, Lost Cities, Settlers of Catan, Coloretto, Kings Breakfast, Ingenious, Bohnanza, and Power Mage. The club is also actively engaged in community service outreach projects that involve the City of Rockville, some senior citizen apartments, the NIH Children's Inn, and several local churches. Date and Times: EVERY FRIDAY night, 700 p.m. to 1000 p.m. Participation is free. All ages are welcome.
Directions:
From DC, go north on 355 (Wisconsin Avenue-Rockville Pike-Hungerford Drive) past the Rockville Town Center. Go past the Manakee Street intersection and turn left at the next light onto Campus Drive. Go past the tennis courts and turn left into the student parking lot area. The Campus Center is located next to the Marriott Hospitality Center.
From Gaithersburg, go south on 355 (Frederick Road) to Rockville (Frederick Road becomes Hungerford Drive. Turn Right onto Campus Drive and follow the directions noted above.
