                     Graduate, BS, in advertising design / graphic arts, with a minor in fine arts
                     from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD

EXPERIENCE:

1990 - 2002    MURAL ARTIST:  Designed and painted murals for various businesses
                      and in private residences.  Some murals / signage include those for ‘S&A
                      Beads’ in Takoma Park, MD, ‘Now & Then’ in Takoma Park, MD, ‘Visa
                      Advisors’ in Washington DC, 'Montego Bay Restaurant' in Washington DC,
                      'Moonshadow Antiques & Collectibles' in Takoma Park, MD and ‘Glad Rags’
                      in Takoma Park, MD.

2001              TEACHER : Visiting Art Teacher for the "Castles and Dragons" summer camp
                     at the Levine School of Music in Kensington, MD.  Created castles with Pre-K
                     and Kindergarten children using recyclable objects and mixed media.

1998 - 2001    TEACHER: Taught and created a music camp through the University of
                      Maryland called, "World of Music", for children, ages 7 to 12.  Activities
                      included making and decorating instruments using a variety of mediums:
                      paper mache, fabric, paints, wood and found objects.  Other activities
                      included drawing, keeping journals and creating cassette covers for the
                      students final recorded project (using collage).

1996 - 1998    TEACHER:  Taught polymer clay techniques and puppet making at
                      the after school program for Murch Elementary School, Washington DC.

1989 - 1998    POLYMER CLAY ARTIST:  Designed and created artworks and beads
                      with polymer clay, for craft fairs, bead distributors and local stores.

1996 -1997    TEACHER:  Taught and created a camp through the University of
                      Maryland called, "Creativity Zone", for children, ages 7 to 12.  Activities
                      included designing and creating maps, flags, costumes, puppets, sets and
                      props for a puppet show, and various other artworks.

1989 - 1997    TEACHER / WORKSHOP LEADER:  Taught workshops through
                     ‘S&A Beads’ in Takoma Park, MD and private lessons on polymer clay techniques,
                      to all age groups (adults and children)

1986 - 1988    OWNER / ARTIST:  Creator of ‘Inner Space Productions’, hand painted
                      clothing business.  Designed and painted clothing using airbrush and  fabric
                      (brush) painting for various craft fairs and local stores.

1987 - 1988    TEACHER:  Taught private art lessons to inner city youth.  Techniques
                      include airbrush painting, acrylic, pastel and drawing.
