Design for a proposed memorial to the victims and heros of September 11, 2001.
A 35"x 14"x 14" section of beam from the World Trade Center is suspended above an elevated field stone garden. A vertical shaft of light shines through the interior of the beam. There is a tile phoenix inlaid within the walk, which connects the area of the beam with the area of the American Flag.
