Bill Jr's 28/29 RHD
Model A Phaeton

SOLD!

Yes, it was with a heavy heart that I sold my first Model A in May 2006. I needed to concentrate on another project (the '66 Mustang that I drove in high school), and the Model A needed to find a new home. Mr. John Gorton, of Phoenix, AZ purchased the car, and plans to do a full restoration.

Buyer's remorse was immediate, but not too bad. I kept the speed parts I had collected, along with the V8 wheels & tires. I plan to get another A in the not too distant future once the Mustang becomes my daily ride again. I'll get something in good running condition this time; perhaps an older restoration. As of this writing, I'm leaning towards a 5W coupe, but a Tudor also holds some interest.

Another choice would be to buy a running chassis and install a Model T roadster body, similar to the one shown to the right, which is a photo I took at the 2005 Bonneville Speed Week during the Hop Up 100mph Banquet. This beautiful car belongs to Hugh Coltharp, and it is by far my favorite hot rod. I got the opportunity to write an article about our trip to Bonneville in Speed Secrets Magazine, which is available online as a PDF file.

I will update the website once the new A arrives.
