December 21, 1999 - Today's recipe is glazed carrots. They aid in digestion, particularly if you eat them with a gin and tonic.

November 27, 1999 - Well, I made the Ultimate Fruitcake, the Millennium Edition. Check out this taste treat for the end of the Millennium dessert.

November 21, 1999 - Several weeks ago, Ron and I went to see the film, Happy Texas. We both highly recommend it. After the movie we went to a restaurant and ordered polenta with olives and spinach. It was a wonderful taste treat. Here's my take on polenta. Let me know what you think about polenta.

November 17, 1999 - I have strong opinions about the Human Rights Campaign and the Metropolitan Community Churches attempts to foist an expensive and unrepresentative "march" on the queer community. The Millennium March on Washington stinks. If you have strong opinions (one way or the other) about the MMOW, let me know, and I'll post your comments on this site. Whether you oppose or support it, I think it's vitally important that our community examine the actions of our "leaders" and try to bring some accountability to decisions that are made on our behalf. Speak up here!

October 22, 1999 - Recently a lot of controversy has swirled about the issue of how to prepare really great mashed potatoes. Of course, Happydoodle knows how! It's an Idaho thing.

October 18, 1999 - I was listening to Pacifica Radio and heard part of a speech given by John Sweeney. It took me back to a less ironic, more hopeful age. This essay is short and full of sugar. I believe in the sacred in my heart and guts. And I wonder how do I find the sacred in that part of my life that is most mundane?

Mar 21, 1999 - I added a piece about my spiritual beliefs. If you like Stephen Hawking, maybe you'll appreciate this. I added a new page on political political polarization (yeah, I know it sounds really thrilling), that you might want to curl up in front of the fireplace with. Also, check out my links page. Mar 1, 1999 - I updated my Family and Friends page. I've also added something under Politics, but not much. That page needs a lot of work, and I don't have the heart for it, right now.

Feb 26, 1999 - I changed the navigation of the site so that it is easier to get to all of the major pages. Sorry, I still haven't said anything about politics. This is weighing heavily upon me.

Feb 21, 1999 - Well I got around to adding some of my thoughts about religion. I still have a number of conversations that I want to have on that page (as well as the sex page). So check back in a bit to see if I've added some other topics. Sorry, but I still haven't said anything about politics, or about Monica....

Feb 14, 1999 - I finally screwed up enough courage to say a few things about sex. WARNING: Don't go here if you are under 18 or are offended by sexual images or content.

Jan 31, 1999 - I added some recipes, so check out "Good Eatin'." For all of you who are breathless, I apologize for having done nothing about politics, sex, and religion. I'm fighting off a sinus infection, and don't have the energy to tackle these topics.

Jan. 22, 1999 - Started construction on the three forbidden topics about which guys never talk with their fathers. Right now, there's nothing here, but keep checking back.
