Sumerduck is a small rural village located equidistant between Fredericksburg, Culpeper, and Warrenton, in Fauquier County, Virginia. It is also the home of Phelps Wildlife Management Area. This hunting area consists of nearly 5000 acres of land set aside and paid for by Virginia hunting licenses for the public to hunt. Please make the most of it.

Local activities include Canoing and Fishing on the Rappahannock River, Hunting, Metal Detecting, Horseback Riding at one of the many small horse farms, Shooting, Four Wheeling, and just plain havin fun. Bat hunting and Bonfires are our specialty. Occasionally we have OWL calling nights. See schedule.
