This page is my Tracy Gourley shrine. It's all about her, and not about me, except when talking about me is actually talking about her in disguise. (Did that make any sense?)
It's an interesting story how Tracy and I met. One day I was on ICQ, when my friend Kurt came on and said, "Hey, Steve-Boy! Wanna meet a friend of mine, Tracy?" And my first thought was, "Tracy.. ohh.. female.. maybe she'll have sex with me!" (Yes, I know that's pathetic, but it's what I thought.) Anyway, Kurt introduced me to her (he didn't bother to mention that he was dating her at the time), and I started telling her about a term I coined on the spot.. and that is, "Dormmie Parties" (which, essentially, is me having sex.) At any rate, this was September '97. In November, I was still talking to her, but her roommate was leaving and taking the computer with her. So, from sometime in December (it took the roomate a while to get out) until sometime in late January, I didn't see Tracy at all.. and, since we weren't roamantically involved or even particularly interested in each other at the time, I didn't even think about it much. In late January, she got a new computer. (pentium 233, I believe.. oh how envious.. I'm still working off a 486/66 I got in 1993.) We began talking shortly thereafter, as soon as she got her ICQ program set back up. We talked a lot, and then, in mid February I decided to go visit Kurt. Kurt lived 10 minutes away from Tracy, and 5 hours away from me. So, I drove up to Indiana and stayed from February 20 to February 25. I spent about 2 hours with Kurt the entire time I was there, and spent all the rest of the time with Tracy. It is no coincedence that Tracy and I say our anniversary of dating is on February 20. (Things had been building up over ICQ, and quickly hit the high point about 4 hours after I arrived in Indiana... not with sex or anything, but the agreement that we really, really, really wanted to start dating and such.) Anyway, this page is being written on March 20, 1998... which is our 1 month anniversary of dating. The first month has been a very good month indeed. Despite the face she lives in Indiana, Pennsylvania and I live in Philadelphia (5.5 hour drive, about 290 miles... Kurt claims anyone should be able to make it in 4.5 from here, since he used to live 5 minutes from me, but I did 5.5 hours going up there, and about 5 coming home... It always seem to take me less time to get home than it did for me to get there.) .. Tracy and I talk everyday, almost... and both have rather high phone bills. I just got mine earlier this week, and I made about $55 (at 10 cents a minute for most calls) worth of calls to her. I imagine her phone bill will be about the same. I love Tracy very much, and also miss her. However, I am used to LD relationships (actually, compared to my first LD relationship, Tracy is practically next door to me) .. anyway, I still miss Tracy and will soon be moving up to Indiana to be closer to her. (Not moving _in_ with her, but just moving to Indiana.. she has an apartment she wants, and Kurt is leaving soon and said I can have his apartment after he's gone... the two apartments are about 15 minutes away, according to Tracy.) Anyway, I've said enough for now.. :>
