Permit Information
We are currently discussing options with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) to make the process of applying for necessary permits for egg addling less burdensome and to reduce the time it takes to obtain permits for GeesePeace participants. However, because the Service now requires a two month lead time for the issuance of permits, and addling may begin as early as late March, we ask that each participant complete a permit application to FWS as soon as possible. This will assure that regardless of our progress with expediting the permitting process you will have the necessary permit to begin addling. Please note:
If you have any questions please contact GeesePeace in Fairfax at (703) 354-1713 or e-mail: David Feld.
The information you provide will be stored in a GeesePeace database. When you have completed all requested information, press the "Submit Button". GeesePeace will prepare the Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) permit application on "pink" paper as required by FWS. This permit application will be sent to you for signature of the appropriate party. You will then mail the permit application to the FWS as explained in the instruction sheet.
