PressRelease:A "Violent Toy Turn-In" and a "New Ways to Play" Night will be held at Running Brook Elementary School, 5215 West Running Brook Road, Columbia Maryland in conjunction with Howard County's observance of Peace Week, February 13 - 21, 1998. Running Brook Students who turn-in a violent toy, or prepare a Peace Week poster, will receive a Peace Maker Certificate redeemable for free gifts and ice cream provided by participating area merchants.The "New Ways to Play" Night will occur on Thursday evening, February 19th, 7:00 to 8:30 PM. Running Brook Students and their families will spend the evening in alternative, cooperative, nonviolent play and craft activities. Door prizes will be awarded. Running Brook Elementary School, it's PTA, and Columbia United Christian Church (CUCC) are co-sponsoring these events. CUCC has provided leadership to events such as these over the past four tears, in its effort to reduce violence. For information, contact:
