BARTLEYEverill (Dave) Carpenter died Sunday at the Veterans Hospital in Lincoln at the age of 64. He was born at Hildreth, Neb., Sept 12, 1908 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas S. Carpenter.
Everill (Dave) Carpenter Mr. Carpenter grew up at Hildreth and moved with his parents, to near Cambridge in 1924. He later moved to near Bartley. From 1962 until 1969 he ran the Star Mail route between McCook and Hayes Center. He retired in 1969 and has been making his home in Bartley. He was a WWII veteran.
Survivors are his brother, Beral Carpenter of Quincy, Ill., and a sister, Mrs. Velma Ranft of [text not readable] and five nephews.
Services will be held at the United Methodist Church in Bartley at 10 a.m., Wednesday with Rev. Clifford Weidman and rev. Richard Burgess officiating. A military intermane will be held at the Bartley cemetery with the Herrmann Funeral Home of Bartley in charge of arrangements.
