Clair H. Davis, 76, died Tuesday, 6 Jan. 1981 at the Community Hospital, McCook. He was born May 6, 1904 at Hildreth to the late Oscar and Emma Davis. He came with his parents to Wauneta where he grew up. He was married Sept. 10, 1960 at Colby, Kan. to Ethel Bacon, and had made his home in Culbertson since.
Survivors are his widow, Ethel; one daughter, Mrs. Gilbert (Esta) Richards of Dumas, Texas; three step-daughters, Mrs. Eldon (Donna) Gutherie of Indianola, Mrs. Alvin (Belva) Snyder of Loveland, CO, and Mrs. Dave (Mavis) Bowman of Billings, Mont.; two step-sons, Gary Bacon of Los Angeles, and Larry Bacon of St. John, Texas; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one brother, Cletis Davis of Silver Spring, MD.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the United Methodist Church, Culbertson, with the Rev. Richard Atherton officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Wauneta.
