I understand and accept the following terms:

1.     Black Fox Farm hereby agrees to breed ______________________________________ to BFF IN DISGUISE, standing at Black Fox Farm for the 20____ season. I agree to pay the stud fee of $1000 for a live foal at time of service.

 

2      LIVE FOAL GUARANTEE: It is agreed that under this contract, a live foal will be guaranteed from the live cover for a maximum of two breeding seasons. A live foal is defined as a foal that stands and nurses. If the foal is born dead, return privileges may be exercised by the mare owner for the following season, if Lisa A. Reid is notified within seventy-two (72) hours from the foaling date, and receives a veterinarian’s statement concerning the circumstances of death within ten (10) days of the foaling date. If the mare dies or after examination by two licensed veterinarians is found to be unfit to breed, another mare any be substituted with the consent of Black Fox Farm. If the mare is sold no return service will be made in any event.

 

3.     A veterinary certificate showing this mare to be free from any infection and in sound breeding condition and a negative coggins test will be furnished to Black Fox Farm before this mare is bred. Hind shoes will be removed before this mare is bred.

 

4.     I, the undersigned assume the unavoidable risks inherent in all equine related activities. The inherent risks include but are not limited to bodily injury and physical harm to the horse and handler. In consideration, therefore, for the privilege of breeding, boarding and or working around horses at Black Fox Farm the undersigned does hereby agree to Hold Harmless and Indemnify Michael and Lisa Reid and Black Fox Farm and further release them from any liability or responsibility for accident, damage, injury, or illness to the mare and/or foal owned by the undersigned on the premises. In addition, I shall not be responsible or liable for any disease, accident, or injury to the stallion.

 

5.     I agree to final and complete payment of fees incurred during my mare’s stay such as stud fee, board, veterinary, farrier, ect. prior to the release of my mare by Black Fox Farm. Notification by you to Black Fox Farm for your mare’s departure date must be given at least 24 hours in advance.

 

6.     This contract is in duplicate. The mare owner (or their agent) must fill out and sign both copies and return them to Black Fox Farm. When Lisa A. Reid (Agent) signs and returns one copy of this contract to the mare owner, it will then be a binding contract on both parties, subject to all above terms and conditions. This contract may not be assigned or transferred by the mare owner.
