Floor cloths have a long history. In colonial times, they were made from sail cloth and were used to cover dirt floors. Floor cloths today are used as art for the floor in many settings. They add style and color to a room, and yes you can walk on them. Floor cloths are very durable. They hold up extremely well in high traffic areas such as foyers, hallways, kitchens, and under tables with chairs. Floor cloths are great for families with small children and/or pets and for people with allergies because pet hair and dirt cannot get trapped in their fibers, and they are easily cleaned with soap and water. The final product is tailor made to your decor, and will make a beautiful, one-of-a-kind addition to your home.
Floor cloths by Carol is owned and operated by Carol Black. All floor coverings are hand painted and hemmed, and they lie flat on the floor. I only use earth friendly products in preparing floor cloths. My floor cloths are made of 100% cotton canvas and painting is with non-toxic acrylic paints. Floor cloths are preserved with five coats of polyacrylic finish.
