A Story
Passion and Containment were walking down the street.
Containment said to Passion, "God you're great! I almost
envy, I do love the way you exude your zest, your joy, your
palable sensation of being in love, of loving so much of what
your senses connect you with. The way you lean into things,
people, experiences, like a dog following her nose, big tail
wagging. Sometimes it discomforts me a bit; but how alive,
how alove it seems alot. We're so different."
Passion took in the sweet sounds of Containment's thoughts, sat
with the feel of that description, felt in her heart the
connection with Containment. Then she spoke into those
feelings. "How good it is to be seen and enjoyed,
lov'ed Friend. And how precious you are as you are,
reminding me that it is within my precious container, my temple,
my body, my boundries that I move and experience life.
"If the universe were to become totally
homogenized, totally undifferentiated, merged, why then many of
the experiences which fill and fulfill me would
cease. It's true for me the focus of the experience
of being is often lover and beloved, Self and Other, the gazer
and the mirror. You, too, enjoy this play whenever you
choose. "And how much stronger my
experience is when I pay attention to holding a kind of center
within myself. Thank you. "How important
it is to me to honor the separations between me and
"other", strengthening my internal resources and
sourcing, allowing me to bring so much more into
relationships. Thank you."
They stopped walking for a bit then, and simply held each the
other in a lov'ed gaze, feeling much movement of feelings,
feelings circulating in the spirit body incarnate. They saw
awsome expressions of those feelings each in the other's face and
radiant body, feeling warmth and shifts and wonders and rivers of
light.
