BEN and JUNE EVANS, long-time covered bridge aficionados, are the authors of Pennsylvania's Covered Bridges: A Complete Guide (1993 and 2001 second edition), New England’s Covered Bridges: A Complete Guide (2004), and they are co-editors of Pennsylvania Crossings, the newsletter of The Theodore Burr Covered Bridge Society of Pennsylvania, Inc. They are also members of covered bridge societies in several other eastern states including the Columbia County Covered Bridges Association, the Indiana Covered Bridge Society, the New York State Covered Bridge Society, the Ohio Historic Bridge Association, the Vermont Covered Bridge Society, and the National Society for the Preservation of Covered Bridges.
