Background

I am from Amelia, Virginia. Amelia is a rural county about thirty minutes from Richmond. I graduated from high school in 1991, first in my class from neighboring Powhatan High. I continued my undergraduate studies at Longwood College where I majored in both elementary education and psychology. I graduated from Longwood as valedictorian of the class of 1995. I recently completed my M.S. degree in college & community counseling. For more professional information, you may see my resume . I am currently a guidance counselor in Prince William, VA.

Interests

I love to play the piano and organ (especially pipe organs). My others interests include calligraphy, watching classic movies (my favorite is Gone With The Wind) and travel.

Family

My family is very important to me. My father, Wilford, operates a heating oil company and the family farm. My mother, Linda, is a nursing instructor at Powhatan High. My younger brother, James, is a left-handed knuckleball pitcher (he is very proud of this!)for Hampden-Sydney College. Last, but by no means least, is my husband, Bruce . He was a science teacher for nine years. He is now an assistant principal.
